They have always told us to drink milk is essential to grow and maintain our bones and teeth. I think the dairy industry has sold us this message for years.
However, it is difficult to accept this idea and change eating habits that we learned when they were kids. But if we look at the animals , it will be easier to understand why we should eliminate these products from our daily lives. They only drink milk at an early age , and only from their mothers. And we drink milk in adulthood and , in addition of another species : the cow. We act against nature.
But why milk is not healthy for our body ? It can cause four types of problems:
- Many people are lactose intolerant without knowing ... According to data from the Harvard Medical School , 70% of the world population is lactose intolerant. Between two to four years of age, we lose the power of lactose enzyme and it stays in the intestine where it is fermented by the colon bacteria and it can produce us gas, pain or diarrhea .
- Our body cannot absorb the calcium content of milk: A milk protein , casein , is what impedes us absorb calcium it contains, because this protein causes the pH of our blood is acidic and our body has to take calcium from our bones to neutralize this acidity .
- Its consumption increases the risk of allergies and asthma : Casein, is a thick substance that our body can not eliminate, obstructing our lymphatic vessels. That prevents the absorption of nutrients and causes immune problems, allergies and asthma.
- Milk could cause cancer : Because dairy producers inject a hormone to cows that makes them to produce more milk than they naturally would give him. This hormone is unhealthy for us and can produce cancer . China , which is the country with the lower rates of cancer, doesn't consume milk.
Nutritionist recommends consuming almond or soy milk.
In my opinion, this is a shocking new because I didn't know it. Now, I will drink less milk than before to avoid these problems in the future.
